The Hut York is a registered charity set up in 2011. It was created in response to an increasing need for day facilities in York. Since 2015 Emma has been our Service Manager, working alongside her is her team and a board of Trustees who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fields of Learning Disabilities and Mental Health.
- We are here to provide purposeful and meaningful workshops, sessions and activities.
- To offer support for people with enduring mental health issues and/or learning disabilities to come together to learn and develop in a safe informal learning environment.
- For those feeling isolated our service is here as a space to ‘pop in’ and form friendships and see what we do, whilst having a cuppa. You don’t need to book. Please see our Vintage Snug Drop In on the Our Activities page.
- Our service is open to any individual whose needs we can meet, you can refer yourself.
If you are interested in finding out more, you can arrange an informal chat. We can do this over the phone or via Zoom. We are now arranging Face to Face meetings (The Hut is fully COVID-19 compliant)
