Dragon Boats, Cheese and Wine

Hello everyone,

A Sunday by the river…  The Hut held a stall at The Dragon Boat Challenge, we had lots of fun and met up with people that knew of us and some that didn’t!

Our stall was a little different, we had lots of Hut Made items for sale, Jonny our activity coordinator and his team of volunteers and members worked so hard to get us a stall of crafts to sell. Well done to all, especially Jonny who always goes that extra mile to make the activities fun for every member.

We made over £170 and that will be going to specific equipment chosen by our members, our charity is members led and with monthly members development meetings chaired by themselves they certainly focus on the positive of The Hut.

Summer is hopefully here and we are utilising the space outside, our main concern is to look after the lovely plants outside so if your around pop in and get a watering can and help us water outside!

My Journey is taking its summer break and will have its last session tomorrow and a trip to Whitby planned for the following week. Then exciting times as we finish off our planning for The ASPIRE Programme that launches in September.

If any of you are in to fine dining Then please look at attending an event on 2nd August at Love Cheese where local chef Luke Sanderson will be raising so money to hold another event at The Hut in September,

You can book your ticket here to the Cheese and Wine event .

Until next week look after yourself!
