Charity Dinner Event

Monday 29th October saw Luke Sanderson, Young Chef of the year finalist wip up a fantastic feast for guests at The Hut York; a members led mental health and learning disability charity. Along with Danny a chef at Roots, Marygate, and some talented Front of House support Luke, Junior Sous chef of Michelin starred restaurant The Pipe and Glass Inn presented a fantastic herb inspired menu including roasted onion with whey, lemon and Thyme; cod with radish and parsley, Belly Pork with mint followed by a pear, rosehip and tarragon desert. The evening raised £620 for the charity. Luke is hoping to do more food events, and is looking for more charities he and Danny can assist. A thank you to James McKenzie, owner of The Pipe and Glass Inn for his support to Luke and The Hut and generous contribution to make the event happen.
