At The Hut we have future plans on how we can improve our service. We detail our plans in stages.
Stage 1: At The Hut we are often overwhelmed every year with the support that we receive from all the fantastic organisations that have donated to improving our charity. We also appreciate all the support from the general public too who help us achieve more ensuring we can provide the best for our members. With the incredible support we received, that enabled us to open The Hubble in July 2021 which has given us the ability to offer more wonderful sessions that our members can come and enjoy. This came at a cost of around £106,000 and we couldn’t have done it without you all.
Stage 2: A large part of what we do is have our creative sessions in The Studio. The Studio is in need of a new roof due to the building having very little if no work done to it since it was built. Having around 60 active members is something we are very proud of and we want to make our main building as safe and accessible as possible for our members. Fundraising has begun for a new roof on our main building and this is the stage we are at on our journey to becoming the best charity we can be.
This stage will be very expensive and we would appreciate any support towards the funding of the roof. This is work that is really long overdue but we have lacked the money in recent years to go ahead with the work.
Stage 3: A redecoration inside The Studio and The Vintage Snug. Despite how welcoming and authentic our members have made our main building look it is incredibly dated and somewhat falling apart. An internal refurbishment is needed including heating, electrics, single bricked wall needs plastering and painting and new flooring.
This Christmas… If you don’t want to spend money on giving cards with little meaning and purpose… Why not gift something that can really make a difference to somebody in need! There are a few of our members who struggle financially who we try and help out the best we can so that they can still come to The Hut which is very beneficial to them for their wellbeing and skill development. (Please note the pictures used are at random, not necessarily those in need of support.)
